Welcome To Kara's Korner
November sure came fast and even sooner Thanksgiving will be here.
We sure have been enjoying our decorated windows and door we did
last month. We also have received many compliments on them from
our family and friends. (See our October newsletter.)
I wanted to decorate our dining room table for Thanksgiving and
came up with this idea to use more of my pressed fall leaves. When
I opened my flower presses, I just smiled when I saw how beautiful
the leaves turned out. With all the trees outside now completely
barren it was a joy to see the colorful leaves I had collected to
press. Oh how I love all the pretty colors of fall.

Now the fun part
When I decorated our table I first placed a light solid colored
tablecloth down. I then selected the leaves I wanted to use arranging
them onto the table. Once you do this, place a clear heavy plastic
covering on top so you can see your beautiful fall leaves. A clear
plastic table covering can be bought or you can go to your local
fabric or hardware store to have one cut the size you need. I just
went to my town hardware store and bought some storm window protective
covering (10 mil thick). Be sure to measure your table before going
to your store. The clear plastic generally comes on large rolls
and will need to be cut to your size. The plastic covering is great
for cleaning up any spills or messes.
The warm color of the fall leaves will bring a cozy and inviting
feeling to all that gather. What a conversation piece your Thanksgiving
table will be.
