Welcome To Kara's Korner
What a great time of year to decorate your windows for October
and November.
Let's get creative
First you will need to collect and press some beautiful fall leaves.
This is a fun adventure for the entire family. Your kids will love
to hunt for leaves with you and what warm childhood memories you
will create with them. Look for all kinds of leaves. Maple, Oak,
Aspen, Alder or any other kind of leaf in your area. You can pick
them from the trees or get the freshly fallen ones on the ground.
Stay away from the dried out crunchy ones. Look for all colors...
Red, brown, golden and spotted green. The hunting is my favorite
part - just being outside with nature.
Once your leaves are pressed you will need some clear contact paper.
Place your leaf on the contact paper and cut around the shape of
the leaf being sure to leave a good healthy edge to stick on your
window. Then simply peal back the contact paper, place your leaf
on the sticky side and press on your window. You can make a border
around your window or place them randomly all over your window to
look like falling leaves. You can do this on any window in your
home, on glass French doors or even a border around mirrors.
Your leaves can remain on your Windows for October and November
and they are just as easy to take off as they are to put on. Have
fun!
God bless, Kara
Keep pressing fall leaves, as next month
we will be decorating the table for Thanksgiving.
